| Events in Narborough
Narborough is a thriving village positioned on the banks of the Soar River in the county of Leicestershire, and is home to over eight thousand people. The village was first settled in Saxon times, and also saw the Romans busy when they built part of the Fosse Way which journeys through here. There is a delightful church with some fragments of its early origin remaining although it was extensively renovated during the 19th Century. From its small beginnings the village grew, and thrived with the Frame Knitters in the 18th Century, and the arrival of the Railway. There is a good choice of shops that will tempt the hardiest of shoppers, restaurants, welcoming pubs to try, and a pleasing 17th Century Inn.
