Widemouth Bay is a picturesque coastal village in north Cornwall, positioned just three miles from Bude. The village stretches alongside a fabulous wide sweeping bay where the Atlantic rushes in, soft golden sand is skirted by low sandstone cliffs, that are topped with green gorse, wild flowers and heather. The village has beach shops, and surf hire emporiums that cater for visitors who enjoy the stunning scenery whether its cliff top walks, swimming, surfing or exploring the rock pools. This was once the haunt of smugglers, and although the smugglers have gone, there are still pubs, cafes, bars and restaurants on offer.
