| Events in Godstone
Godstone is an attractive village complete with village green and duck pond in the leafy county of Surrey, home to just over two thousand seven hundred people. There is a delightful church and a peppering of old timber buildings and houses that date back to the 15th Century. For lovers of animals a visit to Godstone Farm offers a chance to get close to cows, goats, ponies and many more creatures, and perhaps the chance to ride on tractors, or even a toboggan will be eagerly accepted. Maybe the thought of a gently sloping Vineyard covering fifty acres will tempt a visit to Godstone Vineyards, where the interesting story from grape to bottle is shared. Of course the tasting completes the journey, ‡”‡”or there is always the chance to adopt a vine. For an insight into an earlier age Titsey Place is an historic estate set within picturesque surroundings that nestle under the North Downs, the fabulous house has scintillating architecture and fine treasures to share.. Or there is always Chartwell that was home to Winston Churchill, where personal possessions give an insight into his life. Or perhaps the oldest working windmill is more for you, Outwood Windmill was built in 1665, and is still grinding flour today, set in an enchanting location with Nature Trail, meadows and a delightful pond that will test any artist.
