Attractions include The Glencoe and North Lorn Folk Museum housed in traditional thatch-roofed cottages in the village and the Glencoe Visitor Centre by the main road. The bottom of the Clachaig Gully overlooking the Torren Lochan and Signal Rock forest was a location used in the film Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Askaban. Glencoe is a popular tourist resort, holiday and Ski Centre, there is a range of holiday accommodation with hotels and self-catering cottage, shops and amenities, restaurants, tea-rooms and cafes. Activities include hill-walking, skiing, mountaineering, mountain-biking, sailing and horse-riding and fishing. The West Highland way is a long distance footpath stretching from Glencoe to Kinlochleven.
