Kilgetty, a small quiet and peaceful town, lies a few miles north of Tenby. Visitors to this part of the beautiful Pembrokeshire Coast will find a wide choice of accomodation from small hotels to campsites and caravan parks - many with kids clubs, pools and superior amenities . This area is packed with places to visit and if the weather is fine, a trip to Begelly Countryside gardens will be on the agenda. Here, in addition to native flora and fauna, are more exotic inhabitants – cute monkeys at the small sanctuary . For thrill seekers, Oakwood Theme Park is a short drive away. Rumour says it sometimes rains in Wales but families with children need not despair - Folly Farm has grown to become a major attraction with its zoo , vintage funfair, indoor and outdoor play areas as well as the more expected farm attractions. You could also visit Avondale Glass Blowing where three generations have perfected their art and do try Cold Inn Love Spoons where Thomas the Woodcarver demonstrates this craft – It’s traditional to buy one for your sweetheart but be careful as each decoration means something different. Make sure you know exactly what you are proposing.
