Located on the North of Cardigan Bay on the Lleyn Peninsula in North Wales Abersoch has not always been the popular holiday resort that it is today. A small coastal village set in an idyllic location it is ideally situated to take advantage of the rise in popularity of water related activities, sailing, windsurfing, water skiing and jetboating are all adding to the popularity of this village which during the summer months can see the local population double with the influx of visitors. The sheltered beaches and sandy bay all providing a great attraction.
As far back as the 19th century Abersoch was popular with yachtsmen but it was not until the late 1940’s that more and more people were to discover the benefits of sailing here in Cardigan Bay and it is form this time that we see Abersoch develop into the town it is today.
With picturesque views of St Tudwal Island out from the shore and with the magnificent Snowdonia Mountain ranges inland the resort of Abersoch is a truly popular resort that makes visitors old and new welcome at any time of the year.
