Had financial success buying and selling a chain of snooker halls. Moved into promotional work becoming the manager of world champion Steve Davis. Founder and chairman of promotions company Matchroom Sport. Moved into boxing promoting personalities including Chris Eubank, Lennox Lewis and Naseem Hamed. Has been chairman of the football league club Leyton Orient since 1995.
