Began her acting career in 1972. Television roles included The Sweeney (1974-78) and Minder (1979-86). Switched to writing. Television dramas included Widows (1982), Prime Suspect (1991-2006) and Trial and Retribution (1997-2000). Written a feature film The Profiler (1996).
