Britain's Favourite Attraction
Gardening has long been one of BritainŐs favourite pursuits: from grand parks designed to show off the wealth and taste of their owners to tiny cottage gardens providing colour and food at the other end of the economic scale. In spite of our drift to the cities - maybe because of - we retain our fascination for these artistic green spaces. And still they range from pocket-handkerchief size to spreads tended by dozens. From Northern Scotland down to Cornwall, from ancient physic gardens to masterpieces of period or contemporary design, we visit them and wonder how it is done. Which has inspired or amazed you?
