The local, that most British of informal institutions.. Whether your taste is for a quiet country pub with pewter tankards hanging over the bar; or a wine bar where even the men air kiss, everyone (of legal drinking age or thereabouts) has their favourite. From good old fashioned spit-and-sawdust where the furniture hasn't changed since the Boer War to converted city centre banks where the decor changes monthly, the range is part of the fascination.
