Review of Barnsley by natalie corber on June 5th, 2010
Barnsley is one of the most wonderful places in Britain(I may be biased though as all my mums side of the family are from there & I was born in doncaster so am very proud to be a yorkshire lass)Barnsley has some great places to eat n drink, good selection of shops & a great outdoor market. The people there are really friendly & theres some lovely countryside, plus I love a barnsley accent but thats probrably just a bias to my family. I love it there as I have so many happy memories of when me & my cousins were little.

Review of Doncaster by Joanne Jenkinson on May 21st, 2009
On your page regarding Doncaster, you describe the Mansion House as a fine example of Victorian Gothic architecture when it was actually built in 1749 to a design by James Paine. Paine was much influenced by Inigo Jones. You may be wanting to refer to Doncaster Minster which reopened in 1858 after burning down in 1853. The Minster's architect was George Gilbert Scott and is considered a fine example of Victorian Gothic architecture.

Doncaster is great, I was born there. I came up to visit very close family and stayed at the Danum Hotel. Can I just say what a disgrace this hotel is to Doncaster. If they want to be a 3/4 star hotel in the center of Doncaster then act like it. Day staff, although unsure of their roles, were lovely. Night staff (from 7pm onwards).... rude and simply did not want to assist guests. I would not recommend this hotel. The management need to decide if they are just a hotel who doesn't give a toss if guests come back or a hotel that makes guests want to keep coming back...and back to Doncaster!

Review of Rotherham by Rotherham Council on May 29th, 2009
FREE PARKING IN TOWN AFTER 3PM! It's free to park in any council-run car park or any on-street parking bay in Rotherham town centre after 3pm. So if you have that errand to run or fancy nipping in for a quick shopping trip, you can pop down to the town centre and park free after 3, every day of the week.

rotherham is okay, . the charters arms is a good pub for studnets coming out of RCAT after a long days work. the nightlife isn't much to rave about, my recomendations is to get your drinks in rotherham then go downtown in sheffield to maybe the Leadmill or The Plug. there is a student night every thursday in rotherham, therefore you are able to buy cheap drinks then go out in sheffield. the shopping isn't all that good in rotherham too, get your self off to meadowhall or sheffield city centre, or get a train to leeds.
