This wasn't a pleasant experience, it was more like a disorganised cattle market. There were so many people there it was impossible to view any of the stalls properly and the so-called German section was a thinly disguised weekday market.
I have visited several continental christmas markets and, I'm sorry, Lincoln just doesn't compare with the charm and sophistication of some of these. Quite frankly, Llandudno put on a better event last month, and I only had to travel 20 miles to that rather than the 200 miles to this scrum!
If you want to suffer go to Lincoln Christmas market!

It was a wonderful atmosphere it was oh so colourful some of the stall holders could of been frendlier though.
It looked like Lincoln had gone to a lot of trouble for this event.
Parking was a problem but we parked in the barracks which was handy.
The museum of Linconshire life was open and the catherdral which we thought excellent the castle and museum where free entry. We would definitly go again; After the market all the schools and church halls where open so you could get a drink. this created a wonderful pulling together atmosphere. there was a lot of choice in the market and it was magical loved the merry go round and big wheel. So Thank you Lincoln I do not know any other event like it in Britain.
It was a fantastic idea;
Jean

over priced
Over rated
Just over the top - all about money - not about Chrismas
Even the continental food is from
English suppliers.
