Disgustingly dirty floor, oily table top, flies buzzing around, a stale fish smell, dirty walls, filthy plates - wholly unpleasant from a sanitary perspective. The wait staff were worse – un-kept, disinterested, and with an attitude. We were looking for a simple fish and chips experience - instead we walked out with a 50quid bill for two of the smallest chips servings you have ever seen, fish we could have downed in three mouthfuls and two drinks served in dirty glasses. We felt like calling the cops after leaving. The food was nice. The service had attitude. The floors, walls, table, plates and glasses were dirty. The price was ludicrous. Eat here at your peril.

It is my birthday today so I was looking forward to lunching at Fishworks,Bath, with my husband. The food we ordered was very good when it eventually arrived after 45 minutes( fish stew £17 and filleted sea bass £13). We had not previously booked a table but I do not think it would have made any difference as all the tables on the ground floor were very cramped and by the end of our lunch I was shaking with the cold on a very chilly day mainly because the door to the restaurant was kept open. The staff were very attentive and polite, but the food we received was not value for money in our opinion. I came away very disapointed.
