I have been lucky enough to eat at the Glasshouse on many occasions and simply love it. It offers such a varied and delicious menu it makes it hard to choose just one dish! The service is friendly and efficient and they go out of their way to accommodate the most picky of customers. If you haven’t tried it do, you won’t be disappointed.

Have started to use The Glasshouse again on a regular basis and I agree it gets better and better, the service has improved dramatically since they opened due mainly to their Restaurant Manager and the food is always imaginative & delicious...Well done and keep up the good work

After a difficult start mainly due to opening too soon and not wanting to let prospective excited customers down. The Glasshouse bounded back early and rectified these initial problems. The food is outstanding, the waiters and managers attentive. We eat there with friends, as a family and as a couple. The Glasshouse seems to fit all occasions whether it is popping in for drinks and tapas, Sunday brunch or a special dinner. The wine list is excellent and I would highly recommend the set menu at lunchtime at a bargain £15 for 2 delicious courses.

We had a fabulous meal served by attentive, professinal staff. For those who may have questioned the service in the early days, I certainly recommend trying the Glasshouse again! The fixed price lunch menu is superb value, likewise the carefully chosen wine list.

If you want elegant food served crisply and with panache, The Glasshouse in Sidbury, Worcester is the place to go. I first went to The Glasshouse for a business lunch and wanted to impress my client without breaking the bank. We chose the business express menu which guarantees speedy service for those with not much time to spare. The choices are simple but inspired and for less than £40 you can have a splendid lunch and be on your way again in about an hour. I enjoyed it so much, I took my wife there for an evening supper and we thoroughly enjoyed the classy, upbeat atmosphere. The pheasant pudding and sautéed monkfish are Shaun Hill classics and have an understandably great reputation. I can’t wait to try them again.

Having visited the glasshouse recently i wanted to congratulate them on an excellant restaurant. From the moment we arrived until out later than expected departure, due to another bottle of wine and some chat with a friendly local couple, we were spoilt by both the service and the food. In a relaxed but professional atmosphere we had attentive an knowledgable staff able to make recomendations and suggestions on the wine and the menu. The menu was interesting and varied and provided some challenging options. The wine we chose was superd and the desserts and ideal way to finish up the meal. Thank you to the glasshouse we will be back.

I have now been to The Glasshouse several times in the last year or so since it opened and I am pleased to report it simply gets better every time. In truth whilst the food has always been good (with Shaun Hill at the helm it should be) the service hasn’t always been great however improvements have clearly been made over the last twelve months and the experience we had there last Saturday was faultless. I did not want my “pheasant pudding starter” to end and even asked for more bread to mop up the delicious gravy! My monkfish main was delicious and we all shared the “taste of Glasshouse puddings” a small piece of all the puds on the menu which is ideal for two or more to share. My dining companions were equally as complimentary and at around £35 per head with a couple of bottles of nice wine and coffees, it represents superb value (I’ve paid more in so called gastro pubs). We’ve also had the express menu for lunch in the past which is only £15 for two courses. I have been surprised to read some bed reviews, they seem to mostly originate form the early days when the restaurant was finding its feet however this place deserves a second chance because if you’re a foody like me you wouldn’t want to miss out. Worcester needs the Glasshouse and I for one are happy to shout about it from the roof tops to help it succeed! I like The Glasshouse for what it is, a stylish busy brasserie with a great atmosphere which isn’t up itself or have any pretensions. The food is some of the best I have tasted, the wine list is interested, they have a great cocktail list and the staff are clearly passionate about the place. As far as I am concerned we are lucky to have it on our door step – try it or try it again!

Just want to say how lucky we Worcester folk are now that, at last, we have a restaurant to shout about. Shaun Hill and his kitchen staff have produced a menu for everyone in this top class bistro. The food is prepared and presented to perfection and on the numerous visits I have made with either family or colleagues none of us have been anything but delighted. The staff are truly professional and work effectively to make each visit a joy. Good, albeit small wine list but one that gives you an opportunity to try something different should you wish. Top for food, top for ambiance, top for value.

I have dined in hundreds of establishments around the Globe for 25years and the Glasshouse in Worcester thus far takes tne biscuit for being the worst i have encountered in terms of the quality of food, service and overall value for money Vs the Hype. This is highly a highly over-rated restaurant and after our dissapointing experince i was intrigued to learn i was not on my own as a number of colleagues, aquaintances and friends had a similar opinion. Given the attitude of the management to our polite comments it's clear why so many poor reviews can be 'googled with ease' so far i have only found one positive reveiw. Speaking on behalf of many 'its not for us'.

My family and I trouped en masse to the new glasshouse restaurant in Sidbury full of excitement at the prospect of eating at this much talked about new brassiere. First impressions were good although some confusion was evident over exactly where we were to be seated (that may have been due to my Mother though who has that effect on any family gathering). We had asked to be seated someplace that would be easy for all concerned. The location chosen by staff was perfect for the eight of us though. The menu is fairly short and not for basic eaters. It is obviously aimed at the food literate of which not everyone in our party was. I went without a starter but had a chance to sample most things on the menu via my roving fork and my family’s inattention to it. The Artichoke heart with wild mushroom was very good fresh and full of flavor. My sister had chicken soup that caused mild alarm on its arrival due to the miniscule quantity of liquid present in the oversized bowl it was served in. We all wondered if perhaps we had been given the waitress from the famous Wood & Walters comedy sketch. As it turned out a jug of chicken stock soon followed that was then left to the customer to add to taste. The soup when added to was full of flavor and plentiful. I should add that a large platter of bread had been previously been brought to the table. The white bread was fantastic and had a wonderful flavor that I can only describe as vaguely dripping like. That might sound odd but it was wonderful. The brown bread was also very nice but a little peppery for me. Sadly for my sister we had blitzed through all of it before her soup had arrived. Our waitress was asked if an extra slice or two would be possible but even though we were assured that would not be a problem none was forthcoming. My sisters partner had what I think was basically stilton on toast on a bed of salad. I did not get a chance to sample this but I am told it was very nice indeed. Drinks wise we opted for the house white for £15.00 and I have to say it was a very nice and full of flavor. The main courses arrived in due course and this is when we had a few problems. Most of us had the roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, the exceptions being my Mother who had lamb and my Nephew who had the chicken. Quantity wise the food was fine I had three good slices of perfect looking beef, three good sized roast potatoes and a fair quantity of roasted and cubed swede, carrot and parsnips. I had no problem with the veg even though I am not a fan of swede, however four of our table were disappointed enough with them to leave rather to many cubes of parsnip and swede on their plates. I think we would have all preferred cabbage or something green at least on our plates rather than what we were given. I have to say though that I thought they for me at least worked well for the meal I had. The potatoes were ok not very floury though and hands on heart mine are better. What let my meal down though was the quality of the meat. We all universally agreed that it was tough(ish) and tasteless. My Mothers lamb had to go back to be cooked a little longer (this is a woman who likes her meat pink) even on its return it did nothing for her. I suspect that a lot of that was down to the large amount of fat on each slice of meat. The little I tried tasted fine though the flavor of the meat was a little bland though and like my beef it was not very tender. My nephew had the chicken and all parties agreed that he had picked the winning main course. The skin was crispy and the flesh was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. We are not normally much of a pudding family but as so many of us had left much of our food on our plates we succumbed. I shared the £12.00 Glasshouse special that consisted of small portions of all that was available on the menu. Apart from a pastry case containing a chocolate paste that was only ok, all the other items on offer were superb. If the kitchen can do something about the quality of the meat it uses I would give this restaurant high praise even if the food comes at a stiff price for a working chap like me. As it is though unless they do so it this restaurant has for me at least failed to live up to the hype.
