We decided to visit Heveningham Hall Country fair on a whim after seeing the posters on returning from a day trip to Southwold. What a delight! The estate is set in huge beautiful grounds and is perfect for such an event. Ticket prices are really very reasonable and I've discovered even cheaper if you buy in advance. A fantastic day out for the entire family. The day is centered around the main arena with a full programme of displays and activities. We sat ringside on the comfy hay bales and watched the jousting knights which was great fun and very well done there were also Suffolk Punch horses, birds of prey and lots of other things going on all day. We didn't see any of the dog show but it must have been huge as we saw many people with dogs. There are lovely gardens to explore, live theatre, classic cars, bands, craft stalls, kids activities and lots of lovely local food and drink. Our party all came away very impressed with the view that it was a hidden gem that was a must to return to in 2010. Congratulations to the organising committee, you do a fantastic job, especially given the remote location. Plus I have since discovered the proceeds go to local causes, fab! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Jane, Kesgrave.

One of the best events of the summer. Something for absolutely everyone. Our friends come up from Essex especially for the event. A date we always put in the diary but, having a job to find the date for this year. Can you help please.
