We had our holiday spoilt the moment we pitched our trailer tent.I booked a large plot for our tent 10 by 10 metres . We was given a small pitched 6.5 metres cramped between two caravans ,one of which had a water jet ski pushed up to the markers no room for guide ropes and was a fire risk .We were well in between the markers of the plot when a lady member of staff told us to move our tent to one side when actually it was the jet ski who should have been asked to move, we were very angry as our trailer tent was too large for the pitch. We stood for a further 20mins in the heat while they debated what they should do. Finally they came and told us where to move to admittedly a much better spot where we should have been put in the first place. At the back of our tent where young children ran about there was barbed wire fencing where children could escape into a field with cows. The lake was nothing more than an over sized puddle very grim and nowhere really to walk our two dogs. The road traffic was very loud and i slept with cotton wool in my ears. The camp site was too regimental and you couldnt relax. If you want however a nice clean shower block and pot washing facilities then this is the place for you, we came back a night early as we did not like the site .

Well I regret having to write this after the good reputation that the site has built (this was the reason why I initially chose this site). There are many things that I cannot fault- the toilets are clean and the site appears well organised. I am however writing this review with the attitude of several members of staff in mind. Unfortunately I have been spoken to in a rude and abrupt manner on several occasions. It appears that there is a social skills bypass sadly occuring amongst the workforce which really spoils the holiday. My partner has also experienced this on different occasions, as have two other sets of campers that I have informally spoken to. The term 'patronising jobsworth' may be applied truthfully and liberally. It does not take any effort to be polite and courteous. It is not hard to get right. Disappointed.

I booked this site as I read great reviews about the standard of the shower blocks. You will not be disappointed. The toilet blocks are all brand new with fantastic hot powerful showers and they have paid attention to detail with fresh flowers and music in the toilet blocks. Being entitled to my bus pass I made great use of the frequent buses which stopped outside the campside gates. One day I travelled to Swannage by bus and caught the open top bus back to Poole via the ferry from Studland to Poole. The buses were so frequent and reliable I did not need to move my motor home for the week whilst I was on site. The two pubs in the village were excellent and I would highly recommend them. The beauty of this site is that it is in lovely Parkland but it is very accessible to all the attractions. The staff were very helpful and I will be going back in Septemebr.
