Having read the last comment I felt I had to add mine. The place is not good the photos shown on the website must be years out of date. If you don't get there early you camp on a slope most uncomfortable ( we left for a B&B after 2 nights. The showers and WC are just adequate and there is a resident drunk on site begging alchohol was funny for a while but became annoying another one of the reasons for leaving. There are better sites on the island and cheaper. I would recommend looking for one or use this as a last resort.

I stayed at the campsite during TT, it was a very busy time on the Island and i was very happy with my stay at Cronk Dhoo campsite. The owner was forever cleaning the showers, toilets and floors which i was very happy about. The owner was also very friendly and helpful. The site was terraced well with a gorgeous view, there was also a joining area for the motor homes and caravans which was well placed, and all grass areas well maintained. We were able to have out motorbikes beside the tents, although there was a good area for parking the bikes and cars as well. The country pub was 5 mins walk away which was ideal, but there was also food being served on the site to. The main all island bus rout passes the entrance of the site every half an hour, it was also handy having the late bus back from Douglas in the evening. All and all very happy and would highly recommend this campsite, very pleased.

I am going to be very blunt here but i feel i need to let others know. I have never stayed in a worst place in my life. The smell of the room was awlful, one of the mattresses was unsleepable as you could feel the board of base. We had perspex as a window in the roof which was dirty. We had extra blankets which we were told to use if needed, but one sniff of them was enough! Just spoilt our stay as we stayed out as late as we could and got up and away in the morning as fast as we could! Never again.
