The reason for our visit was to check its suitability as a day trip venue for our Cub Scout pack. We arrived early on a somewhat damp and drizzly day but that didn`t put a damper on the fun we had. It is a good idea to wear strong walking boots or wellingtons and bring waterproofs just incase. Our first impressions were of an amazingly beautiful and well tended gardens where the gardeners deserve gold medals for the hard work they have obviously put in making the place presentable to the public. The collection of birds was outstanding and especially the chicks which were glued to their mothers. I am sure that anybody visiting this place will not be disapointed. We will definitely be bringing our Cub Pack to Pensthorpe to show young people how beautiful this planet is.

"We all decided to head into Nottingham for the Nottingham Live Music Festival. We found the location easily as the Arboretum park is on a main Tram route out of the city centre towards Hucknall and parking wasnt a problem. We all had a great day with loads of activities for the children, the amenities are good, and a great selection of different craft stalls. The atmosphere was really settled with no incidents the whole day. There was a fine selection of bands providing some great sounds. To top it all i bumped into one of my oldest friends who had moved to Cornwall and also had travelled up for the festival. We all had a brilliant time and are definately going in 2007!. see ya there"
