My boyfriend and I loved this hotel. We arrived for a weekend and felt really welcome, parked the car in the car park easily, and were shown to a very pretty room overlooking the street. It is close to the centre and we would recommend it for it's location alone. Bath is really beautiful and I say you should allow 3-4 days to see all the musuems, galleries and buildings. Don't bother with the Austen Museum though, it was a bit dissappointing. Have a nice holiday. Tessa.

I stayed at the Carfax for two nights and would recommend it. It is situated in the centre, but just a bit outside, making it easy to walk everwhere but still quiet. The Bedroom was clean and comfortable, with a big bed - shower/toilet was a bit small but ok. breakfast was high quality with a thing for organic food. Staff friendly and helpful. We would return, and intend to do so for Xmas shopping - Bath rocks for shops. Only downer was the price £98 per night is a bit steep, but when I looked online all the Bath hotels are a bit pricey. Kerry, the hotel Receptionist urged me to write this review after I stayed for a weekend this June. I'd just like to say that the staff are really friendly and helpful, the hotel is very clean and well kept, the double bedroom we stayed in was cute, and the breakfast was excellent. I highly recommend the Carfax as a brilliant place to stay as it has a car park and is really in a perfect location in the city centre. There...I've fulfilled my part of the bargain - now I can go back! Cheers, Neil A
