Good Points: Nice reception building. The pub in the nearby village.
Bad Points: Hotel caters for large wedding parties. Sleeping rooms are not in the nice country house reception building. Restaurant was shut. Bar meals not available due to 'electrical fault in the kitchen'. Normal guests and wedding party guests given rooms on same floor / in same corridor. Very long corridor from reception to rooms, not easy with big suitcases.
General review: Not altogether too peaceful.

Good Points: hotel room was clean and adequately furnished
Bad Points: the rooms pictured on the internet were misleading, and looked a lot grander!
General review: good value for money, and would use the hotel again

Unless you are having a conference or wedding don't bother going at the weekend. They do not do any food except breakfast. We booked through laterooms, and we were not told and had to go out every evening.
We booked for a relaxing weekend, only to have to come second to the 2 weddings going on, which took up the main lounge and bar area.
We also had to move rooms 3 times in 3 nights because the heating system next to the rooms make a banging noise all night.
The staff were excellent, they did all they could but management don't seem to care even though they have been told several times.
The house is very nice clean and comfortable,(apart from the banging noises).
The highlight of the weekend was the leisure centre, a nice swim and jacuzi was lovely.
They should realy emphasise the fact they do not do food, we were one of at least 5 couples who were not happy with the arrangments.
