I visit it occasionally. The last time I bought any children's clothes was about 11 years ago, since then they have not been worth looking at, my daughter laughs at them. As for the food dept. - well where do I start? The gaps - every time I visit big spaces where the items I would like to buy should be, the bread nearly always on its sell by date. The price labels on items or shelves, need careful searching for if they exist at all. I have complained to HO several times but heard nothing back yet.....
The staff, most are very pleasant. The customers - a hindrance, they have to fit it with M&S and their bureaucracy and systems.
Last time I visited there were many people in the store. Queing to pay in the food dept. four tills with flashing lights and queues not moving, chatting to their mates and blocking the aisles but not much evidence of serious shopping, queueing to bring back their gifts, (please don't get me started on the quality of M&S Christmas gifts, but they have got worse.) This is the place to go to buy wasteful, unplanetfriendly items for people you do not like or know very well.
