This is a truly great show taking place in a very friendly village. There is more to this show than just agriculture too. There are huge marquees housing children's crafts, adult crafts and hobbies, photography and art as well as demonstrations by skilled craftspeople. Do not miss the food halls where there are tasty morsels of locally produced farm foods to tempt your taste buds and for you to buy. Remember this is Lancashire so if there has been recent rain, wear sturdy shoes or wellies!

Kay Lovatt writes "Visited for the first time last year on the Sunday. A fantastic day out, particularly enjoyed watching the tractor pulling competition. The weather was fabulous too, doubt it'll be the same this year. Hope to be there this year on the Saturday"

anne turner writes "I have been for the last 8 years as we have friends that live there, it is a fantastic weekend and we have only had 1 rainy weekend up to now and that was a few years ago. It is an excellent weekend and thanks must go to everyone that puts all the effort in to making the show a success. Getting my wellies out in case of the rain and we all 10 of us will be there all weekend"

Peter Sindle writes "Visited the show last year with my grand kids it was great .Did not like the review from one local that there were to many townies invading the show. How are we understand and appreciate the countryside if we dont visit it. Townie Manchester"

Paul writes "Great Show, Been visiting it for a number of years. Excellent showcase to bring farming to a wider audience. We need the Townies to keep supporting the event. The Royal Lancs committee COULD learn a lot from the Great Eccleston organisers. Very pleased that the event was not cancelled this year 2007. A great Family day out."

ann charlesworth writes "Just come back from the 2007 great eccleston show - it was our first time there and it was really good. The whole show was run extremely well, including toilet facilities which were better than most and even a disabled one for my mum. The car parking was excellent and police patrols across road too were well exectuted. The show was well thought out and very enjoyable. Thank you"
