Best rates for a Local Hotel

This pub closed down and re-opened in July 2013 under new local ownership. Any reviews prior to that date can be ignored. A large group of us (10) went walking last Sunday and stopped for a pre-booked lunch and drinks afterwards Glad we booked as it was full. The food was good, as were the drinks. Well worth a visit.

Wont be going back the bread rolls had a stale Tabaco smoke taste to them .I have since been told by my friends that they have seen the cooks smoking out side the front door . They have also changed the food we wanted to go there as we had seen the adverts in the press but they have lost/changed the chef and menus. The standards need to be higher when your paying nearly £10 for a glass of wine. What is happening to our pubs they complain about lack of trade but they are not offering the right level of service.

I have been a regular visiter to this pub for the last 5 years and always have a wonderful experience each time I visit. The food is always incredibly tasty and well cooked, the vast choice of wine or beer is always excellent and the staff are always incredibly friendly and helpful. Defiantly one of the best pubs in Buckinghamshire, and deserves a visit.

Horrible, dirty pub, smelly toilets, dirty glasses, the worst blandest badly cooked & sourced food I have had for a few years. Clean up & get a real chef who knows how to cook.
