This must be our 12th visit to this absolutely beautiful Inn, and as ever we were not disappointed. The food was fantastic and the choice was varied and adventurous.Along side this,we were again exeptionally welcome by the hosts Les and Marylin. We will continue to visit Foolow and bring friends with us, as all the friends we have introduced to the Bulls Head want to go again and again......, the relaxed and animal friendly atmosphere is a magnet to anyone wanting a fabulous weekend. Keep up the good work Les and Marylin, both Steve and myself hope to see you soon. Thank you.

Don't know what G Linnell's problem is - I take my dogs to this pub, because it is a pub in the true sense of the word. If dogs are a problem, perhaps G Linnell should do everyone a favour and stick to pretentious restaurants - not pubs. Food here is excellent, as is the ambience. There are few gems like this left in the Peak District, primarily because the area is all too often plagued by whingers who don't like dogs, people, mud, countryside or pubs.... I always look forward to a warm welcome from the staff and the management are very accommodating. the choice of ale always pleases and there is live folk music on Friday evenings. Bring your dogs and enjoy it.

Arrived early starters arrived with frozen bread. Quality of food poor. Attitude of manager when raising complaint with waitress appauling. Also dogs allowed in restaurant as well as pub bar area. Will not return or recommend from this visit.

What a find! We had the most wonderful meal - I was really impressed with the fact that the menu had good old fashioned British food on it - rabbit casserole, oxtail in Guiness, calves liver etc. The wine list was good and inexpensive - £12 for a bottle of excellent Rioja - and the choice of whiskies was the best I've seen outside of Scotland. We had a lovely comfortable room, breakfast was hearty and the hosts were charming - I would recommend this wonderful pub to anyone without caution!

Although slightly more expensive than your usual "Pub Grub", this is definately quality rather than quantity. Set in an olde world, wooden beamed, stone flagged premises the food is exquisite with a vast range to choose from. Be it rump steak, ostrich steak or salmon steak. Venison, guinea fowl or partridge. All tastes catered for with freshly prepared vegetables served in side dishes so that you are not overfaced. From a quiet meal for two to a family group to works parties, you will be made to feel more than welcome.
