So glad the Malters has eventually changed hands after being run down into the ground. The previous owner were a disgrace to the hospitality industry .

Was recommended this place by a friend who had been there a couple of years ago. I wish they had not have as it must have gone down hill considerably in that time. The food took ages, the service was terrible and when we mentioned this to the landlady (in a very polite manner may I add)the response was un-printable. Apart from that the views were pretty good! Avoid if possible!!!

We made a booking for a group celebration here 6 months in advance and were promised a riverside view. On the evening because we had children with us we were stuck in a small, dark back room between the toilets and the smoky bar! White wine was served warm, parking was in a field half a mile down the road. When we asked for a different table we were told that because we weren’t happy the landlady would like us to leave! A great disappointment, and the worst hospitality that we’ve ever encountered!
