Best pasta dish in Britain is found in a Hampshire village pub !! A cold snowy day , en route to the New Forest and we found ourselves starving by Winchester. Just a short hop off the M3 lies the Chestnut Horse which satisfied us in all regards. A typical village pub and nicely appointed the menu read well and we ordered pasta with watercress and a huge piece of Haddock. The tagliatelle was quite simply superb and most unexpected in this part of the world. Service was efficient and friendly and we are just sorry that we live too far away to come again. If we lived within 30 miles we would haunt this place regularly - Go!
