We were driving round the beautiful Lincolnshire villages and decided to have a look at Newton. What a fabulous village! All stone built cottages complete with village church and pub.We decided to stop and have our lunch break at the Red Lion pub which proved to be a wise desicion. The real fire in the lounge was very welcoming. The food was excellent and the staff very attentive. We look forward to our next visit.

We saw the sign for this pub when travelling on the A52.In need of sustenance we followed the sign, and were rewarded with a lovely meal. We visited again two weeks later and again enjoyed good food and good service in a very nice setting. we will be visiting regularly this comming summer and we are timing our journeys to coinside with lunch times so we can stop off there.

We visited The Red Lion one thursday afternoon for lunch, and was very pleased with service, staff and the food. The staff are very pleasent and welcoming and the food is outstanding. Since visiting we have been back on numerous occasions and always had the same reception from the staff, and other customers are very pleasent too. We would, without doubt, recommend this pub to anyone who enjoys real home cooked good food and a friendly welcoming environment.
