This is a lovely pub, with a warm welcome, delicious food set in a picturesque cotswolds village. My wife and I enjoyed a fantastic evening here in November. The staff were friendly and attentive. The menu is varied and the standard did not disappoint. After succumbing to the lure of 3 courses including an Eaton Mess dessert, we then retired to the main bar area for a couple of pints. The locals are a friendly bunch and there was a nice convivial atmosphere. We will definately visit again.

What a fantastic pub, set in a picturesque village with a lovely roaring fire. We ate in the restaurant, which had a good atmosphere and enjoyed pheasant casserole, (shot locally apparently!) followed by sticky toffee pudding! I have read the previous review and cannot agree, the service was brilliant, food came quickly and was piping hot. Only down side was how full I was when I left! We will be returning...!

Sorry to say that this visit will not be repeated soon. The restaurant was empty but it still took 15 minutes to set a table for 6. When ordering we were then informed that the menu was not the correct one for the day. 35 minutes after ordering, no food had arrived. When the food did arrive 5 out of 6 meals were cold and had to be returned. All meals arrived back 5 minutes later. The establishment did give a favourable discount for the problems, but overall the experiance was not a good one.

This place is fantastic! The new manager was a jolly sort and I thought the food was exceptional, it also goes to show that the old addage of "never trust a skinny chef" is utter nonsense, as the head chef looks like a stick insect! I shall definately be returning.

Spent a superb Sunday afternoon at The Five Alls recently. Food was exceptional and great value for money (same main meals would have been double in London) and the staff were very attentive. We will definitely be back soon to this beautiful Coltswolds pub!!

A quick trip to see a friend in nearby Little Faringdon whose cupboards had been cleaned out by her weekend guests, and we hightailed it to the nearest pub, in Filkins, on the offchance there might be some lunch on a Monday. Excellent! Retro food suited us down to the ground, I ordered Prawn Cocktail (yes!) and this was superb, a generous serving with what looked like langoustine tails rather than prawns, piquant sauce, fresh lettuce, and a bowl full of handcut yummy chips, I was so engrossed in my meal I hesitated to taste my friend's handsome plate of generous charcuterie and pickles, so all in all, a find, and happy to go back.

Just on a quick visit to England to stay in Bath we passed this lovely village Inn recommended to us and stayed the night, extremely reasonable priced rooms clean and with egyptian cotton sheet we love, with locally sourced food, breakfast was a treat with fat sausages and real bacon, and lunch of langoustine salad and home cooked chips was the best, my friend had perfectly rare rump steak, from a nearby farm, with dauphnois potatoes, heavenly and creamy. Under new management we were told and they arecertainly starting with a bang! Thanks for a memorable stay.
