What a pictureseque pub, just like I remember them, no jukebox or other noise making machines just good old fashioned conversation. Place got quite busy for the middle of the week so stayed and had food. Large menu full of traditional pub dishes like there giant yorkshire pudding stuffed with local sausages, vegetables and onion gravy, wife had Perry Pork which was made with the local village cider. Altogether an enjoyable evening, will definatley go again now we've found it!!

Can't speak about the quality of the home made ice cream but the sad thing is that the skittle alley is no longer there. Our impression was that it was an OK pub but nothing of the "you must visit this' factor. The main bar area was dominated by tables set for eating - so we didn't get that immediate welcoming pub-type impression where people would stand and congregate.
We went there early so it was empty and we didn't have the food, so can't comment. It could be that we are dong it a slight disservice.
We will be there again and hope to comment further.

Take time out from the rat race, The New Inn is a haven of tranquillity in a busy world , the minute you enter the stress just slips away ,a warm welcome makes you feel at ease, but there is more pleasure to come, treat yourself to REAL food prepared from fresh local ingredients with lots of care and passion and just when you think that things could not get better, prepare yourself for a “did the earth move for you experience” go for the home made ice cream wow!! my taste buds are still smiling.
