After being put in the bar not the restaurant as agreed, we found the food that was good was well presented, but it required a slightly longer than comfortable wait. One dish was returned on account of fatty, overcooked (ordered medium rare) and tough fillet (if indeed fillet). At this point staff, including Landlord were at times plain rude and offensive, at one point insinuating us Lairs for returning food that was apparently not substandard. A poor meal correctly dealt with would have been acceptable however they would not accept one piece of meat may have been up to the standard they promise. Replacement was charged for after another lengthy wait, and complimentary drinks were apparently already given to us, but, we were only told this after a tense exchange with an unwelcoming, accusative and offensive owner. This highlights again the next to non existent customer service levels. A big shame for a place with potential when it works, however completely ruined by seeing the true colours of the staff when under pressure - common is any restaurant on a Saturday night. Would Never recommend if you want an enjoyable, risk free evening of not being offended and insulted. 0/5
