I called into the Crown en route to the Snape Maltings with my children. I had been told since its new ownership they were now very much a family friendly pub restaurant and I'm pleased to say it was true. There's plenty of room to park right outside and the children loved to see the livestock in the fields at the back. Apparantly they rear their own and have an allotment too. As you walk in there's a display of homemade relishes and chutney's and its very traditional, I believe its about 400 years old. There was certainly plenty of beams and a huge inglenook fireplace too. We got a warm welcome from the lady behind the bar and as I had children she led us straight to the dining area. It's all cooked freshly on the premises and it was pipping hot. They're currently running a special Winter Warmer menu only £8.50 for two courses so my friend Annabell and I chose from that menu and each dish was faultless both in presentation and taste. Even the kids enjoyed theirs. A great place really glad we called in and will definately make a return visit there.
