The Queens Head is now under New Management. Jason who is the Landlord of The Bear in Wilton & Ryan was the Chef, have joined forces and will be running The Queens Head as a joint venture. Their aim is to bring the Pub back into the heart of Village life with good traditional Pub Food, special food themed evenings are also planed.

well what can i say having arranged lunch with my daghter and new grandson we arrived here looks ok from outside but on entering the pub was colder inside than it was out it clearly needed a good clean and i was immediatly consirned as to the state of the kitchen ordering a beer was difficult as only 2 were available i also ordered a large glass of wine ok the glass was large but only a quauter full anyway the food was served because of the limited menu i chose chicken an ham pie it was disgusting a few chips and a dry small piece of pie when i asked if anything went with it i was given a small bowl of soggy cabbage and bad carrotts AVOID THIS PLACE

the inn is set in a lovely location and tht first inpresions of the frontage were very pleasing. The rooms were set in the courtyard away from the actual pub. Disabled access was extemely good and no areas inaccessible. We were in a ground floor room which was very spacious with a large en-suite. The facilities were of high quality, luxurious white fluffy dressing gowns and matching towels. The ensuite provided a bath with a shower. My only negative comment was that the bath needed a anti-slip mat if showering. The roomwas very tastefully decorated and everything was clean and fresh. In the morning we were seated in the dining area, again very well laid out, and the table setting of a high standard as was the breakfast i so recommend the scrambled egg, the best i have ever had! The staff were fantastic, so laid back but still keot a profesional air. I would gladly return to this accommodation!
