This is THE best shop in Christchurch. We have been purchasing jams, marmalades, sweeets, chocolates, you name it for a number of years! Can't believe this shop will be closing down this summer. We have always purchased our goods from this shop, since 1997! Only hope the delightful and very helpful owner doesn't close down. Perhaps the good people of Christchurch can persuade her to open in the summer, perhaps somewhere else in Christchurch, BUT with the same name.

Terrible service- we had menues but the girl ignored us for ages- then when we asked wht the delay she asked if we had booked or not- note we had been given menus- so why would that make any difference was beyond me. We ordered a drink and thw girl then brought a completley full glass of orange so it could not be picked up by my elderly mother in law without spilling- when we objected she actually said hat she would pour some off!!! On insisting she gave us another one she came over and said " I see the secret is a bigger glass"!!! Oh dear. The meal was ohay but we did not have our usual sweet and I had gone past the hungry stage so had nothing because of the time taken to serve us!! I feel this establisment is running on it s reputation only without the service etc to go with it. This what
happened before when it went downhill.
