I just thought I'd like to comment after reading a bad review on this place, we went once with the old owners-the porters and did not think much of it,non of the food was homemade and everything was put in the microwave!however just wanted to say thankyou to the new owners!had a fantastic meal, you can certainly tell everything was homemade and fresh!most of the vegetables are grown in their own back garden!service was also very good as there knowelege of the food on the menu was fantastic!so I think the thing to say is if you want good quality home cooked food go here!

We have visited Colliers Arms for many years and have always enjoyed the excellent food. Since the Porter family have left and the old menu with favourites like the beef and guinness pie/lamb and rosemary pie have been taken off, it is now a rather disappointing menu. The wait for main courses was also unacceptable, having been told that everything is good from scratch.

A wonderful country pub. Excellent service and friendly staff. The food was fresh and home-cooked. A real pleasure in the days of fast food. Definately worth a return visit.

After seeing this restaurant in the 2008 Michelin guide my husband and I decided to pay a visit and must say that this establishment was truly excellent. The food was fantastic and a vast improvement on the previous owners and the service was both helpful and friendly. Definately a recomended eating place, must visit for anyone with appreciation for good food.

I recently came back "up north" from Brighton to spend a weekend with some family. Having been to the Colliers years ago after a walk at Wyre Forest, I wasn't expecting much from the place. I was however, extremely suprised when the level of service I received was far from poor as other reviews have commented! The food was lovely, and being so fussy myself that's saying something! The new owners deserve congratulations for turning the Colliers Arms into such a lovely establishment. Many thanks!

I'd never been to this restaurant before but the food and service was absolutely lovely. I'll definately be returning, the garden patio is stunning! A must try for anyone!

After seeing the colliers in the 2008 Michelin guide, i decided to pay a visit. i could not have been more impressed with the food, service and beer. All was excellent, finding the gypsy eggs particulary praise worthy. A massive improvement on the my last visit, under the old mangement. i look forward to my next visit. WELL DONE THE COLLIERS!

Many congratulations to the new owners of the Colliers. I haven't visited for some time as my last few visits with the old owners were disappointing. The interior is brighter, the welcome extremely friendly, the outside terrace is great and the food is excellent. You can tell all the food is homecooked even the bread is homemade. Even without the quality of the food, the whole visit was a pleasure, the excellent food just adds even more.

It was to have been a special thank you to my neighbours for their friendship in recent sad times. What a disaster, not knowing that the previous owners had left, I booked a table for 5 people, we did not mind the wait to be served our food as on earlier visits the food had always been freshly cooked and excellent. Not anymore, The presentation was poor, the steaks accompanied by one small mushroom, half a tomato and oven chips, no vegetables,no salad, and lacking colour. My guest had a full glass of cappucino tipped in his lap by the waitress, no apology from the managment, until we were leaving and then he was offerred £10 off any future booking, needless to say we will not be taking up her offer.

We have been regulars at the Colliers for many years. We were somewhat worried that we would be disappointed. Although the menu has changed and the old favourites have gone, the food we had was excellent and the service improved. Still one of our preferred eating places.

As regular very happy visitors to the Colliers Arms in the hands of the previous owners "the porter family" I must say how dissapointed I was with my recent visit - no beef and guinness pie on the menu! The menu didn't really appeal at all, and to top it off you now have to pay extra for the veggies, So i'm sorry to say "Wendy Hill" the food quality is not improved as you said it would be, and the service is definately not with a smile. Bring back the good old favourites.

Visited pub today after reading commnets of Wendy Hill. I look forward to seeing the changes and not sure how they can improve on the most delicious Sunday Roast I have had in a long time and delightful staff to look after you. Well done to the current owners!

The Colliers Arms is to get a new owner early next year. The new owners are going to concentrate on greatly improving the service and the food quality. Suggest you give it another try after January.

Chef very good, food high quality, service very poor and time totally unacceptable, 1 hour wait for starter, main course a further 40 minutes, tried to pass comment on issues, owner dismissiveand not in the least bit interested - this was one of our preferred eating establishments - not after tonight - will not return dispite the good food
