We have visited this place several times over the past few years, and it has been exceptional every time. On each visit my partner and I order something different than before and we have never been disappointed, in fact we have never had better! It is always busy, but with a friendly atmosphere, and the service is quick and attentive. The menu is reasonably priced, and serves a large variety of real ales (which is a must for Henry). We would definitely recommend The Bush Inn to anyone and everyone. It's very unfortunate it recently had a fire.

My partner and I went to The Bush Inn for Sunday lunch and I must say it was absolutely gorgeous. The food itself was beautifully done with a varied selection of meat and they catered for Vegetarians(which to be honest is rather rare these days) as I myself am one and they did all they could to cater for me and my partner thought the meat was cooked perfectly. The atmosphere of the pub was brilliant, the bar was buzzing and the restaurant was packed; even with alot of people there the staff were extremely polite and always had a smile on their face. I understand that the pub is now under new management and I must say the gentleman that has taken the role of Manager is doing a fantastic job because we have previously visited a couple of months previously and the standards have definitely moved up a notch. I personally would ignore the bad reviews and come and see this place for its full glory with it's idillic surroundings, friendly staff and brilliant food.....looking forward to visiting again.

Awful to say the least. How on earth this establishment has even met the "AA" guide one only knows. They also had just "run out" of a selection of the beers which everyone knows is an excuse for mis-management. As a former restauranter (in the mid 90's) which went on to win a michelin star I can honestly say the food was poor at best. The lady who served us with a forced smile I felt really sorry for as she was obviously feeling very fed up with the whole situation. if this place is still running in 6 months I would be amazed. Quite frankly (and I hate saying this) but I rate McDonalds as having more palatable food !! Visit again ? I don't think I could really put my body through that pain again. Good Luck !

We too were at the Bush on 15th February and could not agree less with Nigel's comments. Although there was a little wait for the food, when it arrived the wait was well worth it- it was EXCEPTIONALLY busy! My Welsh beef was melt in the mouth tender and my partner's risotto of wild mushrooms delicious. The staff, whilst very busy were courtious, friendly and helpful. To add to this, the best pint of draught bass in the land!

We thought we were in for a treat as we approached The Bush Inn, two large banners proclaimed it as AA pub of the year 2008 -2009. We did not expect however to have to wait for at least an hour for the food we ordered. The food (when it eventually arrived) itself was ok, except for the lack of vegetables, and it was overcooked. The staff were inefficient and unhelpful. All in all not a very pleasant experience for a Sunday lunch time, and one we not be repeating!
