My husband and I are just back from a 2 week holiday in The Larches caravan park, and had the best holiday ever, even tho we had a mixture of heavy rain and sun! The site was beautiful, quiet, relaxing with excellent showering facilities, each cubicle has its own toilet, shower, hand basin and hair dryer, marvellous, no running back and forward to toilets and then shower and then hairdryer!! Very friendly welcome, many suggestions of where to visit of interest. And hundreds of little rabits running around!! We loved it. The only thing I would say is that you really do need some sort of transport if you are venturing into the Lake district itself.

What a delight it was to visit our regular campsite, and for a few days just relax in the tranquility and peace that surounds this beautiful site,my two small dogs love their regular visit to the larches,we are made welcome every time and it is now that we go every weekend or every other weekend, you cannot beat this place for service and a friendly atmosphere, you would indeed go a long way to find a better place to stay, the solitude and tranquility it offers is first class at the highest standard, take my word for it i know.

This is a fantastic site to stay in a tent. Toilet block is incredible, not only are there the single toilet cubicles but each shower cubicle has its own shower and wash basin+illuminated miror+free hair dryer+working radiator. Owners would bend over backwards to help, amazing place, amazing people. Have stayed there 6 times and never been disappointed. We've nicknamed owner as the happiness fairy as she's a wonderful jolly person and can fix any of your camping problems from broken exhaust on the car to excess wind on your tent.

We have been to the larches on several occasions. All of us had a most relaxing break, and I quite agreed the Tiolets are great. The site is well maintained and the family are very helpful. We have granchildren ourselves and it is really nice to have a little bit of peace and quiet now and again, lets face it most us do need some time to ourselves now and again. Would recommend this everytime. We are going again this year.

I think that this is one of the most greatest places to go and stay. Why? because it has beautiful toillets and the veiws are expectional with the service. The park is family run and will helpyou with anything. I would recomend this park to anyone who wants to stay at a child free and peaceful park.

I dont see what that person has a problem with the park. The family run park has been made so that teachers like my self can have a relaxing time with NO CHILDREN around to nag us, I know for a fact that the caravan beside me when i was staying at the park had grand children, but they had no bother going off the park when they wanted to see them. My parents go there just to get away from the grandkids (my sisters), they think that it is the most peaceful place they have been to ever. With the cleanest toillets and the fantastic veiws. In my opinion this is the best place for a adult to come and enjoy themseveles.

Shame that children can't visit their grandparents even for 10 minutes! Rather draconian! Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and the child snatcher springs to mind!

When we arrived at the park, they were very helpful to us. They showed use were everything was and when things were available, i.e. the swimming pool. We were given a choice of two differnet pitches, at differnet areas on the park. On the park, the tiollets are very clean and well set out. the area that surounds the park is amazingly beutiful. I will be going back to the park in the near future.
