my last visit to this site was great although I did ding the rear of the van not too bad, I took my grandson who was 3 at the time and he was enthralled by the chickens since then the site was altered to adults only which I thought very selfish not very caravaner like, but since the the site has been taken over by caravaners with children we are looking forward to re-visiting many times in the future with our grandson who has become a "caravaner" now 6 going on 36 you know what I mean. ray

I totally agree with Tracey, thi site is spotless and very very friendly, My wife and i use this site because there are no children. The last thing that we want is footballs banging into our caravan Don't get me wrong I have three grown up sons and know that children need their freedom but we are also entitled to peaceful breaks.

I understand that everybody has a right to thier own opinion, but I totally disagree with Helens review. We have visited Polstead site many time in 2007 and will continue to do so in 2008. Kevin and Norma are great, they keep the site spotless and if you need help they are only to pleased to help. As far as the adults only, I know of a lot of sites like this and when we get a chance these are the sites we use. Not everybody wants children running around when all they want is a quiet break. Well done for a great site looking forward to coming back.

i did not like the park very much. The lack of facilitys were our main bug bear and the fact that you cannot bring children who has ever heard of a park that does not accomdate children.

Absolutely fantastic! My husband and I camped for four soggy nights in August with a very basic camping set-up, just a tiny two man tent and a little meths cooker and couldn't have been happier. We had a huge camping field almost to ourselves (due to the weather probably) and were incredibly impressed by the condition and cleanliness of the whole site. I love that there are individual towelling towels in the toilet and shower block rather than paper towels. The showers had wonderful hot water at all times of night and day, the washing up area was spotless and had a washing machine and tumble drier. We're going back in a couple of weeks and I don't think there's ever a camp site that I've said that about and I've been camping for years. This is the first time I've ever felt strongly enough about anything to write a review for others, that in itself should be a good enough recommendation

We have had a caravan sited at polsted for the last 3 years and have been camping there for about 8 years, We have always found the owners Alan,Colin & Jim very helpfull and polite and go out of there way to assist people in any way they can in the 8 years we have been going there we have only ever heard noise from a RAVE twice which happens to be held in a field about 3-4 miles away the site is always quiet peacfull and very well maintained and we know of many couples who come back time and time again. yes there are a few cockerels and chickens and a duck called jemima and also a tame rabbit that wonders around all off which makes the site what it aims to be a peacfull place in the country and i have seen with my own eyes the owners out in the middle of the night during a very heavey thunderstorm checking visitors awnings and makeing sure every thing is safe

Having visited this site I don't really understand what the below review is talking about. Polstead Touring Park is one of the best I've been to in the UK. It's in a beautiful part of the country, well located and exceptionally well looked after. The owners are more than helpful and always strive to make sure you can access the pitch - they help if you can't. The toilet blocks are a few years old but more importantly, they are absolutely spotless. We didn't experience the cockerel crowing through the night - there is one next door to the site that crowed first thing in the morning but you are in the countryside so it came as no surprise. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay and I'd thoroughly reccommend the park. PS - I asked the owner about the rave - it seems to happen once a year at the end of the Suffolk show and the rave itself is several miles away.
