Firstly can I just say this should not be advertised as a water park / camp site ! as you can not get on or near the Lake it is all fenced off and quite clear you are not welcome. I visited with my family expecting to use the lake for canoeing as we have one and also fishing, both these activities are advertised on websites and fishing also on road signs as you approach the site. The excuse we were given was health and safety which if that is the case take all advertisements down giving people the impression the lake is part of the campsite as it is not. Then on to health and safety the gents toilet block was an absolute disgrace we were told on arrival not to use the urinal as it was blocked. What we were not told was that it was constantly running over on the floor every time the auto flush kicked in it went all over the floor and this was at the entrance of the building so you had to paddle through to use the other facilities toilet / washbasin. There is only 1 shower + the disabled shower for 40 odd pitches, does not seem many to me. When we booked the night before nobody told us about the toilets or we would probably stayed away. We joked the canoe should have been used in the toilet block as at times you were over shoe tops, The plus was that in the end the urinal was unblocked just before we left.

We really enjoyed our visit to Hatfield Water park. The site is clean and well maintained the onsite warden is friendly and helpfull. The Toilet and shower amenities are clean plus loads of hot water. The Park caters for Water Sports and the kids will love the canoes and dad will enjoy the row boats. If you just want a break and to chill out then this is the place , there is a play area for the little one's on site a big well maintained field nextdoor with football pitches , BMX track and another play area for the kids. Hatfield village is a 10 minute walk away with 2 pubs that serve hot and cold meals at really cheap prices, supermarket, newsagents, bakers are all in a close proximity to each other. We really enjoyed our stay and have now added it to our 'fave place' list.
