If ever you venture to the domain of this mad but extremely sociable frenchman, ensure you haven't eaten for three days and someone else is driving! The food is absolutely second to none, and far outpasses that of some of the finest restaurants anywhere in Britain. Louie dishes out alcohol as if the end of the world was nigh and 'Getting Louie'd' is a well known local phrase. The location is quaint and 'oldy worldy'. This is how pubs should be. A friendly landlord, excellent vittles and a great welcome by one and all. If you haven't visited the Horseshoes and got Louie'd, then quite simply, you haven't lived!
