Excellent welcome from Nicola, landlady.
Really good ales. A well refurbished country pub. Chef Terry really knows his stuff. Good value for money best in the area that we have tried. Will be going back - soon.

A truely friendly and welcoming village pub with an excellent choice of bar food or a more formal restaurant choice. You can eat near the cosy fire in the bar area or for those special ocassions enjoy the recently refurbished restaurant.
As a vegetarian it is good to have a choice of something more than 'pasta with cheese' - all that and a decent pint too.
Well worth a drive out.

I came here years ago and it was a really cosy and comfortable pub - lots of nooks and crannies and friendly bar chat. It's trying to be a gastro pub now which is a real shame as it's lost of lot of atmos. And I walked past a group of people who'd been made to sit in a cold corridor area because they had a dog with them. Not very friendly, but still it was a good pint.
