we live in the village and it was a sunny saturday evening, about 7.00 ish , a small group of adults and small children rang through to see if there were room for a party of 11 , we explained there would be 5 small children(5-8 yrs) in the group and we were told they had room and that children were welcome. So when we arrived there were virtually no one inside or out the establishment was very quiet for a saturday, the decor was a bit dated but the lady behind the bar was very friendly, we ordered drinks then looked through the menu. The menu was lacking in creativity and lacked variety , we requested to order when we were advised that there were no longer suitable room for ourselves and that we could not eat at these premises, we asked the lady why she said that she didnt really no why, so we requested the owner explain , he refused to tell us why, she said she felt terrible and did not know what to say.We live locally in the village and we are quiet, respectable people that would have spent £250-£300 that night and if enjoyed would have returned on many other occasions, we feel very annoyed with the treatment we recieved that night, but since talking to other villagers we hear this can be the norm with this particular licencee, MY ADVICE WOULD BE STAY WELL AWAY, THERE ARE MUCH BETTER PLACES AROUND NANTWICH
