Good luck to the new tenent. Bob tried his best, he did all the things the new tenent is proposing to do, yet he still failed to make a living. Perhaps the brewery have been kinder to the new people. Bob was robbed - the rent was so high that making a decent living from the pub was impossible. The best of luck to you I'm sure you will give it your best shot.....I doubt however that you will succeed where several other landlords before you have failed.

i am the new tenant at the nags head, having read the previous reviews of the pub there is a mixed reaction to previous tenants. Im hoping to turn all the bad to good. im trying to have as much as possible on at the pub. Thursdays is quiz nite, which consists of 30 general knowledge questions and a picture quiz, we are just about to introduce deal or no deal which gives an opportuity for a cash prize to build up week by week !! Fridays is live music, fortnightly, Every two weeks i have live solo music a mixture of music for everyones taste! saturdays is disco nite, free duke box from 8 oclock !! and sundays is karaoke night from 6pm with local girl steph !! Everyone is welcome, children are allowed untill 9pm if accompanied by and adult. We are also in the process of getting our new kitchen fitted, so watch out for nags head grub!!!

i think the nags head is a really nice place the drinks are always cold and the dinners are always hot. the staff have always got a smile on there face and they always have a conversation with you. I love sundays at the nags head because its karaoke night and you always have a good laugh. We sometimes get a free game of pool thats if we are good. The owner of this pub is really nice he always smiles at you and has a laugh with you,, he tries to be funny but he isnt so we just laugh at him for trying,, but sometimes he has got some quality jokes. Inside the nags head just looks lovely the owner has put alot of effort into this pub. He puts as many game nights on as his can but i have to admit the karaoke night is the best...

I have visited the Nags head on a couple of occassions now, and have been impressed with the genuine warm welcome which I have recieved. The landlord, and bar staff are always kind and couteoous, the service second to none, Good on yous for maintaining good standards in the middle of an economic downturn!!!!

i think the nags head is really nice, you can go in there and have a lovely dinner, the people who work in there are always smiling expecially the owner he sometimes gives out free games of pool, the j20's are always cold, they have always got in the flavours that we want. Also when the food is ready it is nice and warm ( just the right heat ). You can always have a laugh and joke with the owner he is really funny when u get to know him. if i had my own way then i would go there everyday for my dinner.

I decided to take my kids(2 boys) out for sunday lunch(save me cooking) for a change. Oh how i wish i hadn,t. We decided on the Nags Head(despite friends telling/advising us to go to Miners Arms in Eston) We got dropped off in taxi about 1ish and the place was like a graveyard(which should have sent alarm bells ringing) I went to the bar and ordered 2 j20 and a half of fosters (flat and funny smelling) When the dinners came the "cook" (a small scottish woman) couldnt have been any more dis-courteous The dinners where literally slammed in front of us (one spilling gravy on my youngest son)without so much has a sorry.I had to leave my seat to get aslt pepper and cutlery. As mentioned in a previous review,i couldnt agree more, tasteless and tough as old boots. I

My wife and i decided to try somewhere different from our usual sunday lunch "haunt" (mermaid in new marske) and to be perfectly honest i wish we hadn,t. The place came across has quite nice and quaint at first entering the establishment, but that soon turned sour has my wife and i seemed to be in the middle of world war 3( crossed words between a large man, landlord???? and a small scottish woman that kept coming in and out the kitchen to trade insults with the large man stood at the bar)All in all not a nice experience. We should of departed the place there and then but ,we thought the food might of made ammends. How wrong could we have been? We ordered 2 beef dinners with all the veg,.when it turned up, the beef could have been anything,it was that overcooked. My wife said" did we order beef or beef jerky" On the Nags Head website they "claim" local produce, but i have tasted better from Iceland. Give this place a very wide berth.
