This once excellent village pub is currently being ran into the ground by the current tenants. They have completely lost the support of their locals in the pusuit of making money from serving average food. It's a real shame but only a matter of time before it closes its doors for the last time

We used the Ship for lunch following my father-in law's funeral. The staff were excellent throughout the whole process of booking and arranging and coped with changing numbers and times. We had the upstairs restaurant for a group of 19 ranging in age from 2 to 88 and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent. It was the ideal venue.

My family are new to the area and we just visited this establishment to try it. As the food is A1 so far and also the prices, we are likely to be regular visitors from now on. Also a very important item is the pleasant and helpful staff who are not too overpowering in their manner. Usually when eating out I get annoyed at staff in other establishments who try to be far too helpful. The fact that your staff are kind and willing and nothing is too much trouble is enough for me as I can always ask if I need additional help. This note is just to let you know that the Ship Inn at Marske - by - the - Sea is now my family,s number one eating place. See you all again soon.
