I am glad I chose this pub to meet up with family for a mid week lunch. The thatched building and quaint interior was an inspiration for expected things to come, and we were not disappointed. The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating, even with the young children in our party. The restaurant section had well laid out tables, an invitation to come and dine in itself. Once ordered the meals arrived freshly cooked, hot and in abundance. My medium rare steak with stilton sauce was perfect, as were the saute potatoes, the best I have tasted in a long while. So much so, my companions had to have a taste and finish that which I could not. My compliments to the chef. Everyone agreed that the different meals chosen by each were excellent value and quality. We will be back, that there is no doubt. Hope to see you there sometime.

Absolutely fabulous. Great staff, really helpful and cheerful, good range of both specials and what you would call normal pub food and really fresh vegetables and really good sized portions.
A very enjoyable evening out.
