Well I was looking for a nice pub that we could have a Sunday lunch, we arrived at 1.15pm and was told that a table was at the other end of the pub, we were not given a menu and had to return to the bar to find what the Sunday roast was and was told pork or beef. We ordered three roast beef dinners and waited when a woman came and said that she had just got her money back because of the food, this should have been the first warning.. Then the food (if that's what you call it) came, the beef was like the sole of your boot, the vegetables were still swimming in the water they was cooked in, over cooked. We had to return the food uneaten. So if you are looking for place to eat DO NOT GO TO THE OLD Barn Inn bickington

Great food, very friendly welcoming staff, well thought smoking shelter (if thats your vice), Pool, darts, jukebox, quizes, entertainment every saturday - brilliant! There is always something going on making it a worthwhile visit. Food is good value and HUGE portions. I didnt come across any bad language issues when i visited and would be more than happy to return next time i am visiting Devon

Stumbled across The Old Barn whilst driving through Bickington, it's situated on the main road and has a large car park, which was ideal. Very warm welcome and inviting so we stayed for a meal, restaraunt was busy (always a good sign) food excellent, lots of variety and nice to see homecooked food on the menus, we noticed they have lots of entertainment evenings like Quiz nights, live groups, Poker nights etc. Definately worth a visit for drinks and meals.
