Called at The Red Lion (on spec) for Sunday lunch prior to attending the musical 'pot pouri' at nearby St Mary's Church (which was extremely good - a credit to all who took part and to this entire little village). Offered a choice of Beef, Pork, Lamb or Chicken roast, we opted for 1 x lamb & 1 x chicken. These were served with a selection of beautifully cooked fresh veg. One of us prolonged the enjoyment with a pud... a very naughty but delightfully light treacle sponge with custard. We accompanied our meals with a spot-on pint of Teignworthy's "Reel Ale" and a glass of decent quality Merlot. Everything was clean and well presented, with faultless service at both bar and table. The overall quality was excellent, prices highly competitive and there is a thoroughly welcoming atmosphere to the establishment. We will certainly return.
