I have real problems with Tesco in general but this store in particular is appalling. I have never managed to successfully make a phone call to speak o the optician despite at least ten attempts. They need more staff for sure to help address this problem. Also, to have more staff on the floor is a must in my mind - it can be difficult to find things without assistance - but I 'roamed' the aisles the other day searching for their £5 meal deal which wasn't in the usual place. Eventually found someone but they sent m the wrong aisle. Found someone else and they sent me to where they were last time she'd seen them (hmmmm) and my third person put his hand up in my face and said STOP! I can't help you, I'm on break!!! Hellooooo!! Whatever happened to customer service?? I think Tesco have the monopoly in the supermarket arena and no doubt, they have worked to get there but they need to do much more to maintain their position. I'm doing all my Christmas shopping now in Morrisons (and a little Asda) - such a difference. The whole shopping experience is a joy there.

I regularly use Culverhouse Cross to do my shopping and have had no problems at all until I visited the store on the above date - I went to Customer Services and asked if there were any job vacancies and they lady replied by saying "I am sorry but we are not taking on anyone at the moment not unless you have family or friends working in this store" - I was rather shocked by this reply "Distrimination" springs to mind, I have also sent an e-mail regarding this to Mr Leahy the chief exec............ Since when has Tescos been a family run business!!!! I will also be sending a letter to Culverhouse Cross branch to complain about this.

I just collected my spectacles, very nice people and very helpful, a excellent price as well, two pairs for £98. Used Tesco because I am soo busy the 7:00pm facility to get my eyes tested was perfect and Tesco were recommended by one of my clients. Only one problem I can't see with them to work so back to my usual optician to pay £150 a pair.

I want to thank the checkout lady who very kindly helped me today, not only did she help pack my bags, but also arranged for a very nice gentleman to help me take my trolley out to my car. I have read the previous comments regarding the staff at Culverhouse and I can honestly say that in all the years I have been shopping there I have never found the staff rude or un approachable.

i work in tesco and do you really think that we want customers like you lot coming in ? you all do not realise how under staffed we are in tesco and we do try our best to be freindly but by the end of a day of abuse off customers who complain about pathetic things no wonder we dont end up smiling. the other day i had a customer complain about me becasue i couldnt help her as i was dealing with TWO other customers. mabie this is a two sided thing and mabie you CUSTOMERS should start talknig to staff with a bit of respect to earn respect, yours scincerly a tesco worker p.s ive left my name blank because i know someone will end up complaining about me over this.

Yesterday my husband was asked to provide ID for our 3 teenage daughters yesterday as he was buying a packet of leeks, 4 pints of milk and 2 bottles of Tesco Finest wine. They would not serve him and basically accused him of purchasing the alcohol for his daughters. I would question how they determine what consitutes a purchase on behalf of a minor? They have basically insulted my husband and my children. I too won't ever be shopping in Tesco again, I will also be cancelling my Tesco visa card and switching my car insurance.

I have had this feeling that the Tesco staff do not care about the customers since a year or more.Maybe sucess has made too proud and they have a no care attitude. I had a similar expereince at Tesco Extra at Wstern Avenue. In the other stores like Sainsbury & M&S the customers are made to feel welcome.I do not go shopping at Tesco anymore. If they start losing customers maybe that will make them change their attitude.

We visited the store on above date ,for the first time since the revamp. We love the store but unfortunately we found the staff were lacking in the customer care department. They didnt give a welcome back feeling .Most of the staff looked miserable ,we had the attitude that they did not want to be there serving customers. This is the first time we have experienced this type of behaviour from Tescos staff. It has made us feel that we dont want to return to the store ,although the store is magnificent . Yours Gratefully Simonson family

Terrible, used to use this shop all the time as it is within walking distance of my house. Now reopened as a Tesco Extra it seems to have hopelessly inadequate parking facilities. Have yet to actually shop there as we couldn't park and so went to the one in Llandaff. Very annoying since it's local.
