We have eaten at the Poacher maybe a dozen times over the years but will not be going back.£5 for two small slices of garlic bread with oil and vinegar as a starter is too much money as is £4.50 for a very small slice of apple pie and custard. The service was bad this time (although this is unusual),and when the waitress was asked to replace a lemonade and lime with the correct lager and lime we ended up with a weak lager shandy (ice included) where she had obviously just poured some lemonade away and then topped-up the glass with lager. Not the end of the world I know, but very annoying to have to argue to get the correct drink in a pub where our bill was just short of £100.
