my daughter and i booked a table in the garden this day for lunch, it was raining when we arrived the staff were so nice and said there was a table available v. soon which there was . the starters were brilliant the wne delicious, my daughters fish was lovely. my only complaint was i had free range chicken yum the puy lentils were under cooked with some onion and parsley on top totally lacking in flavour not that lovely rich delicious flavour we asked the waitress to changeit she replied "these lentils are french lentils cooked".we do know quite a lot about food and yes we have cooked them before and yes we do know they are french.i will keep the rest brief we asked for some new spuds instead the chef bought them out looked v, miffed and said the lentils had been in the oven for sometime, no apoligy and left!!! when the bill arrived ok the spuds were not charged but no recompence for a very uninteresting main course, please don`t get too cocksure about all good review s you have had recently
