Thank you for an absolutely fantastic meal We had the Sunday carvery. The starter choices were really good and The home made soup to die for. Every thing is home made the quality of Which is exceptional. The main reason the kings head is a place you Must visit is due to the atmosphere and friendliness of the staff. Jackie and dave couldn't do enough for us Thank you once again for such a pleasant Lunch and it goes without saying we will be Returning. Tony and Lesley

Very disappointed in our meal at the Kings Head. Our son took us there for a birthday celebration, our son and his wife ordered rump steak, it was very thin steak and tough, my husband had belly pork and although it was a huge piece of pork there was no gravy or sauce served with it. I had salmon fish cakes and they weren't too bad. We were offered boiled potatoes and chips, we just had the chips and that was all, no vegetables were offered or salad. We should have complained at the time, that is our fault, but for the price it is definitly not a place I would go to again.

Having returned from a short holiday, I would like to thoroughly recommend one of the best pub/restaurants I have ever visited - The Kings Head at Theddlethorpe. This delightful pub ooozes character, and is the most friendly place to visit. Dave, the co-owner, keeps 3 real ales perfectly, whilst the food is far above what could be expected from a rural pub: fresh local food cooked with imagination and passion. Everyone I encountered there arrived as a customer, and left as a friend. What more could anyone ask for?

If you are visiting the area then the Kings Head Inn is the place to visit, fresh, local, seasonal food of only the best quality. This was our first visit we were made welcome by all of the staff of which are proffesional with great sense of humours. I had the Smoked haddock and my wife the tuscan stew, both of which could not be faulted. Not to be missed! Will be going back soon!

Check out this little piece of old England if you can! Its not perfect but its not a plastic predictable pub chain clone either. Its prices are fair and the food is 'proper' (I had the game pie, the wife had salmon fishcakes, both really nice). The place oozes atmosphere, we will definitely go again.

Visited while in the local area and would fully recommend. Staff were friendly and food was superb, my partner had fish & chips and said it was the best she's tasted. If you are in the area, then visit, we thought it was a brilliant little find. There was a few friendly locals there too which added to the nice atmosphere of the place.

I am Lincolnshire born and bred, and took my mother out for Sunday lunch. The service was appalling, no one asked if we wanted a starter, we eventually went to the Carvery, to be served by very young inexperienced staff. The beef was touch and yorkshire puddings should not have been served, small, heavy and flat certainly not light and fluffy. We did not have a dessert as again no one came to ask if we would like one. The staff most definately lack customer care and desperately need training in the basics. After complaining I was told a reduction would be made in the bill, but where I don't know. £20 for a J2O, large glass of wine and 2 roast beef dinners!!! SOMEWHERE TO BE AVOIDED AT ALL COST IF YOU LIKE GOOD FOOD AND PLEASANT STAFF. AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can only assume that the people who supposedly visited on 7 September 2009 had either gone to a different pub or SHOULD have gone to a pub that does 3 meals for a fiver. We always go to the Kings Head when we are in Lincolnshire, have never had a meal of less than excellent quality, never had to wait an unacceptable time (even when it has been full) and never felt that it was overpriced. As for the portions of chips - they are certainly way larger than average. Ignore their review and try it. You won't be disappointed, we never are and it's over 200 miles from where we live!

My family and I have, eaten, drank and celebrated on many occasions at the Kings head and have enjoyed every last bit! The Beautiful garden and building itself is worth paying a visit for,- but do mind the traditional low cieling if you are taller than Ronnie Corbett. We have experianced delicious, fresh, seasonal food, a good atmosphere and a kind welcome from the owners all year round. Cant wait for the weekend think i'll have the roast belly of pork. mmmm

we visited for a meal to celebrate our wedding aniversery,we dont mind at all paying a good price for a nice meal BUT we ordered a steak meal each and had to wait about 50 minutes for our meal to arrive considering the restaurant was empty thats to long,in the flyer/menu left in the reception of our caravan site they advertise an 8oz steak meal for £8 95.the only extra from that we got was 3 very greasy battered onion rings we only got 1 average size portions of chips and an average portion of salad between us.considering that I had a tea and my husband a shandy no starter and we certainly didnt want the long wait for a sweet we consider the whole deal was VERY over priced at £45 50.Also they could perhaps think about some sort of lighting in the car park as it is pitch black at night and dangerous for disabled and elderly people, to sum it up we certainly wouldnt recommend this pub to anyone as it is.

The Kings Head Inn has just re-opened its doors to the public. The new owners Jackie and Dave have transformed this beautiful historic public house. We received a very warm welcome as soon as we entered and their menu is out of this world. Their Sunday carvery is certainly worth a visit. All I can say is keep up the good work.
